Dr. Nada Milosavljevic

Integrative Health Program for Teens

In November 2010, Dr. Milo founded the IHP and collaborated with Boston-area high schools. Since inception, the program has grown to three sites. Approximately 75 students have completed the 8-week treatment and educational series to combat anxiety and stress. The IHP is result-oriented and data studies have been robust.  Student participants have shown a significant reduction in symptoms. This alternative and complementary treatment program is a successful and workable model to reach, treat, and educate this vulnerable population.  Dr. Milo serves as Principal Investigator of this study at MGH. Further, her research has received Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval through MGH. Several additional clinical sites are being reviewed and the program will continue to expand in 2013-2014

Through HRH Crown Princess Katherine’s Foundation, Dr. Milo funded and constructed a children’s facility in the scenic hills of Vrnjačka Banja at the foot of Mount Goč near the Kopaonik mountain range.  The facility is located near the town’s historic mineral springs, UNESCO protected 12-14th century monasteries, and Roman ruins. The Pre-School, Kindergarten, and Daycare Center are for the education, social enrichment, and advancement of pre-school and school-age children.  This project began in 2010. On May 28, 2013 the school held its dedication and official opening ceremony. Almost 100 students have been enrolled and classes began September 1, 2013.
